If you could have a second home anywhere, where would you live? Funny enough, we’re currently trying to purchase a home in Ibiza, Spain, my favorite place on earth! We already vacation there for several months throughout the year, so it’s definitely time to have an additional homebase in the area.
What are three words to describe your style?
· Modern
· Approachable
· Luxury
Tell us about your childhood bedroom? Two things stand out about my childhood bedroom. When I was 11, I was allowed to design my own bed. My mom took me downtown L.A. and I worked with an artisan to create my very first custom furniture piece! The other thing about my childhood bedroom is that as a teen, I can remember being grounded, and instead of getting angry, I got creative! I wallpapered my entire room in full-page color ads. The creativity was overflowing even as a kid.
What’s the first investment piece you ever bought for your house? It would be my baby grand piano. I’ve been collecting and appreciating furniture for a very long time, but this one felt like a big ticket item that stands out.
In the history of design, if you could hire any designer other than yourself, who would it be? I’d talk to the person who designed the Palace of Versailles and get them to update it to the 2025 version!

Biggest Vice? Champagne, especially when served in Ibiza in a Champagne bucket placed in the sand. I can’t say no.
Do your clothes reflect your design sensibility, if so, how? I think a kaftan is all things Breegan, because it’s luxe, simple and purposeful. It fits in everywhere from the beach to an upscale gala. I feel the same way about design. Good design doesn’t sacrifice beauty for functionality or vice versa. Liveable spaces with a dose of luxury is always the goal.
Who is your star crush? Pierce Brosnan
What is the thing you would never do on a project, but don’t detest when you see others do it? Maximalism and color. It’s just not my thing, but I absolutely it. Other people master it as a design style, but it wouldn’t be being true to myself to implement it in my own work.
If there were a fire, and you could only keep one design book, what would it be? “California Beach House Luxury”, my very own book! I’m so lucky that I got to encapsulate a lot of my story this year, and I’m excited for everyone to experience the book!
For posterity, what would you like your work to be known for? I would love my philanthropy to come before my design work. It’s a part of my identity as a designer and explains why my work is so globally inspired. Home, giving back through home, and my belief that shelter is a basic human need and right is truly at the heart of my purpose. How and where we live and what we surround ourselves with impacts us in such significant ways, and that facts influences the way I design.
