What are three words to describe your style? 1. Maximalist 2. Collected 3. Layered
Tell us about your childhood bedroom? It was my first creative outlet. First color pallet I picked was navy and yellow. Made my own stencil for the wall to create a pattern
What’s the first investment piece you ever bought for your house? A leather truck that I still own that I used as a console for my TV and now its a coffee table in our office. Timothy Oulten
In the history of design, if you could hire any designer other than yourself, who would it be? I know he is not a designer, but I would have loved to have Ricardo Legarreta build something for me.

People think of me as super tidy -, but I am really a bit scattered

If you were on an Ambien high and internet shopping, what would you buy? Always smoking slippers but also always ordering coffee table books
Do your clothes reflect your design sensibility, if so, how? I think they do, I like being creative with my shoe wear, I think the colors I dress with, show a bit of my aesthetic in general
Who is your star crush? Richard Madden and Pierce Brosman and Nate Berkus
What is the thing you would never do on a project, but don’t detest when you see others do it? - Colored grout/ minimalist rooms
If there were a fire, and you could only keep one design book, what would it be? My grandfather design / architecture book for the Mexico City Cathedral
For posterity, what would you like your work to be known for? Layers of fun things that have meaning and purpose. I like all the pieces to have a little bit of a story. Of course, I want to also pass the test of time
