What are three words to describe your style? 1. Refined 2. Curated 3. Comfortable
Tell us about your childhood bedroom? My childhood bedroom was in New York City. It had great sunlight, due to its south-facing windows, and a blue and brown color scheme, a favorite of mine to this day.
What’s the first investment piece you ever bought for your house? A George III mahogany armchair acquired at a Christie's auction. I applied a horsehair drop-in seat to the chair, which remains today.
In the history of design, if you could hire any designer other than yourself, who would it be? Emilio Terry

Do your clothes reflect your design sensibility, if so, how? Yes, because of the colors I wear – orange, blue, and purple. I tend to draw on these same colors in my design palette.
Who is your star crush? Laura Linney and Julianne Moore. But also love John Legend & Chrissy Teigen.
What is the thing you would never do on a project, but don’t detest when you see others do it? I don't typically use the color pink but don't dislike when others use it.
If there were a fire, and you could only keep one design book, what would it be? A favorite book on Emilio Terry's furniture and fabrics or Mario Praz's An Illustrated History of Interior Decoration: From Pompeii to Art Nouveau.
