MK Workshop
If you could have a second home anywhere, where would you live?
Jonah - Provincetown, MA - I grew up as a child visiting this quaint coastal community, and it holds a special place in my heart.
Petra - Probably in a remote area in Colorado - I grew up in the mountains and would love to spend more time with immediate access to hiking and skiing right at my front door - and room for horses maybe.
What are three words to describe your style?
Jonah -
• Timeless
• Tailored
• Sophisticated
Petra -
• Timeless
• Elegant
• Warm
Tell us about your childhood bedroom?
Jonah - Cluttered and shared with siblings, my childhood bedroom taught me the value of organization. Today, I deeply appreciate having a designated place for everything.
Petra - I’d describe it as “ever changing.” My parents encouraged me to get creative with my space - they let me paint murals on the walls and I had a stack of upholstered mattress building blocks of sorts that could transform a huge sleepover space for friends to a space to jump around on to a sofa or whatever else you could think of.
What’s the first investment piece you ever bought for your house?
Jonah - Furniture from our collections! I have two of our counter stools, rugs from our collection and some outside furniture.
Petra - The absolute first classic piece I’ve ever bought (and moved around with multiple times) was a vintage Eames Chair in Walnut Plywood and an ochre colored leather.
In the history of design, if you could hire any designer other than yourself, who would it be?
Jonah - If I could hire any designer, it would be Workstead. Their ability to combine refined craftsmanship with a warm, modern sensibility resonates deeply with MK Workshop's approach to creating timeless and tailored interiors.
Petra - Charlotte Perriand

People think of me as ____ but I am really ____
Jonah - People think of me as very structured, but I am really spontaneous when it comes to designing.
Petra - People think of me as extroverted, but I am really not the complete opposite, but rather introverted.
