Bradley Odom
If you could have a second home anywhere, where would you live? Cassis, France. We visited there a couple years ago while shopping for antiques in the South of France and I haven't been able to get it out of my head. I was so captivated I called home and said to my husband, “Ok, I found where we’ll retire.”
What are three words to describe your style?
1. Curated
2. Layered
3. Textured
Tell us about your childhood bedroom? My bed linens and drapery were all in The Incredible Hulk pattern. My ceiling was covered in Madonna posters. What a juxtaposition! I was convinced that I would one day marry her.
What’s the first investment piece you ever bought for your house? Years and years ago, I was traveling through Mexico and found a coffee table that, at the time, I couldn’t live without. I really couldn’t afford it and definitely didn’t know how to bring it back to the states, but it was life or death. I coordinated with a store in Birmingham, AL that sold many found items and they helped me figure out how to ship it. Of course now, I have no idea what happened to it.
In the history of design, if you could hire any designer other than yourself, who would it be? Billy Baldwin.
No room is complete without fabulous lighting. We start every project ensuring the appropriate lighting budget is in place. A statement light fixture can really set the tone of an entire space.
People think of me as funny, but, honestly, I am really funny.

Do your clothes reflect your design sensibility? If so, how? I'm always in a third piece, so yes, layered. That third piece is often a cardigan or a double-breasted wool jacket.
Who is your star crush? I’m not really into celebrities of any kind.
What is the thing you would never do on a project, but don’t detest when you see others do it? Hang a pendant from the ceiling over a bedside table.
