If you could have a second home anywhere, where would you live? The Hamptons. I share a family home in the Hamptons with my niece Samantha, her husband David, and their daughter Elle plus my partner Scott, our dog Cooper and their dog Carmel
What are three words to describe your style? Elegant, Timeless, Old-World Details
Tell us about your childhood bedroom? My family had a home on Spetses, and I had a beautiful, rustic room with stucco walls, a painted bed, and a chest of drawers. The home opened to a magical veranda, overlooking the beach. My bedroom was blue and white, full of my favorite stuffed animals all lined up perfectly in a row. It was wonderful because my mother was very stylish. I adopted 3 stray dogs, a rabbit and a Donkey. I rode my Donkey every day with my rabbit on my lap and my dogs followed
What’s the first investment piece you ever bought for your house? Syrian Carved Camel Side Table with an octagon top. It was one of a pair. I went to the vendor with cash and asked him if he would just sell one and agreed. It is still in the center of our living room
In the history of design, if you could hire any designer other than yourself, who would it be? Georges Geffroy or Renzo Mongiardino
No room is complete without a Dog
People think of me as Grand, but I am constantly inspirited and like to surround myself with beautiful things, my partner Scott and my wonderful friends and family
