Jennifer Miller
If you could have a second home anywhere, where would you live? I love living in a city but would love to have a second home somewhere with lots of land immersed in nature.
What are three words to describe your style?
1. Comfortable
2. Timeless
3. Soulful
Tell us about your childhood bedroom? It had a large picture window overlooking cherry blossom trees in our backyard. The walls were covered with a large-scale tulip print by Laura Ashley that I adored. I had doll houses tucked around where I tended to each tiny room for my imaginative make-believe play. The bug of design and creating spaces started early for me.
What’s the first investment piece you ever bought for your house? During my first year working at a design firm, I saved for the annual Knoll furniture sale to purchase an authentic Saarinen coffee table with a marble top. I’ve easily found a spot for it to live in all the places I have been in since
In the history of design, if you could hire any designer other than yourself, who would it be? Billy Baldwin
No room is complete without a touch of nature and art.
People think of me as traditional, but I have an ‘out-there’ side to me

If you were on an Ambien high and internet shopping, what would you buy? I love the natural bronze work of Osanna Visconti. I would click to purchase her console along with this mirror.
Do your clothes reflect your design sensibility? If so, how? It really does. I prefer classic, not trendy, clothing that is simple and understated with touches of refinement through an accessory or small detail.
Who is your star crush? Pierce Brosnan in The Thomas Crown Affair
What is the thing you would never do on a project, but don’t detest when you see others do it? When the same pattern is used for all the furnishings, walls, and drapery in one room.
